Enjoy the scenic beauty of nature on this tour. The Dolomites are a section of one of the most spectacular mountain ranges, the Alps. These huge rocky structures present an awesome sight and appear both daunting and enchanting. Passing through tunnels, enjoy a picturesque sight of valleys and canyons. Admire the scenery from the high altitude lake of Misurina and take in the view of the ‘Tre Cime di Laverdo’, the ‘Sorapis’ and ‘Marmarole’.

This tour starts at 0830h (08:30am). You will be met by your driver on the left hand side of the Piazzale Roma. You will be driven in an air-conditioned mini bus.

As you travel, and pass through tunnels you will glimpse beautiful canyons and valleys.

• Your first stop would be at Cortina – ‘the pearl of the Dolomites’, where you could enjoy a quiet stroll and take pictures of the breathtaking mountains. Weather permitting you may also take the Cable car up to Faloria at 2134mt, which overlooks the entire town of Cortina and the surrounding mountains.

• Continue your trip to the natural lake of Misurina, which is at an altitude of 1756m and admire the scenery of the Tre Cime di Lavaredo’ (the three peaks of Laverdo which are 2360m high) with more unforgettable views of the Dolomites.

• Stop at the 'Sorapis’ and the ‘Marmarole’. Surrounded by scenery as stunning as this, photo opportunities are plentiful!

After lunch payable direct we journey on to admire the picturesque Auronzo lake passing through enchanting mountain villages.

You will be driven back to Venice to the Piazzale Roma, where your tour concludes.

Nice relaxing tour of the countryside and the Dolemites inthe southern part of the alps. We wanted to get a feel of the countryside outside the cities and the places we stopped did just that. The meeting place in general was easy to find but where specifically in that bus depot was not immediately recognized so we spent 5-6 min trying to figure out if we were in the correct spot. The tour guide ended up finding part of our party then we had to gather the other members that had spread out to locate exactly where we were supposed to be.

We were so glad to have taken a tour outside of Venice while we had the chance and The Dolomites day tour was a fantastic experience. The guide was friendly and informative and the mountains and lakes were amazing. We stopped off in Cortina, where we had a coffee break and a bit of designer shopping then off to a view point to see the Dolomites and the lakes on the way back...absolutely amazing!
