Overview

Unveil the secret of Murano art of glassblowing with the Venice Murano Glass Demonstration. You will visit a glassblowing factory in St. Mark Square, and the master artisan of the factory accompanies you as a guide throughout the tour.

Get to know the history and process of glassblowing as you explore the factory. The master artisan will also present a demonstration of how glass is moulded using traditional Murano technique.

At the end of the visit each of the guests (family or every couple) will receive a small glass gift as a souvenir of this unforgettable visit.

    Make your way to close to the well of Bacino Orseolo, in front of the shop Testolini Bottega Dell’Arte address San Marco 1758.

    Our assistant will wait for you with a signboard in which is written “GLASS BLOWING TOUR”

    Arriving By Public Vaporetto:
    Take line #1 and get off at the “San Marco Vallaresso” stop. Once you get off the vaporetto leaving the boat stop on your shoulder go straight till the end of Calle Vallaresso turn on left and after one metre turn on the right, go straight till the end of (Calle) Frezzeria, before ending Calle Frezzeria turn on the right to Calle Tron, at the end of Calle Tron turn on the left and after fews metres you will find a little square with a well, you are in Bacino Orseolo. You will find the assistant close to the well and in front of the shop TESTOLINI Bottega dell’Arte address San Marco 1758 with a signboard in which is written “GLASS BLOWING TOUR”

    Arriving By Private Watertaxi : Ask the driver to take you to Calle Vallaresso San Marco boat stop. Once you get off the watertaxi leaving the boat stop on your shoulder go straight till the end of Calle Vallaresso turn on left and after one metre turn on the right, go straight till the end of (Calle) Frezzeria, before ending Calle Frezzeria turn on the right to Calle Tron, at the end of Calle Tron turn on the left and after fews metres you will find a little square with a well, you are in Bacino Orseolo.     Arriving On Foot: Reach St. Mark’s Square, leaving the Church on your shoulders go to the end of the Square and turn the last Calle on your right, go under the arches and you will find Bacino Orseolo with its gondola landing stage. Keep Hard Rock Café and Zara Shop on your left , after few metres you will find Ponte Tron, keep it on the right and you will find a little square with a well, you are in Bacino Orseolo. You will find the assistant close to the well and in front of the shop TESTOLINI Bottega dell’Arte address San Marco 1758 with a signboard in which is written “GLASS BLOWING TOUR"

Itinerary

  • You will visit the Glass Factory Showroom located in St Mark’s Square in Venice for the Venice Venice Murano Glass Demonstration. You will be guided by a professional master artisan of the glass factory, who will tell you about the origins of the art of glassblowing which dates back to the Roman Empire.

    Through the ages the glassmakers have refined their techniques and have been in trade relations with Middle and Far East countries.

    After a brief introduction about the history and process of glassblowing, the master artisan will demonstrate how glass is moulded using traditional techniques. He will create a nice glass item for you and to conclude the tour on a happy note, you will receive a small gift as a souvenir.
